Veritas - Small Scraping Plane

This beautifully made plane is perfect for final smoothing on small flat surfaces - especially on highly firured timbers or small areas of difficult grain within a larger surface.

The ductile cast iron 5 1/4" body weighs 1 1/2lbs and this, with the articulating palm rest makes the plane extremely comfortable in use.

Tblade is 2" wide 0.040" thick, A2 tool steel with its cutting edge ground at 45° for easy hook burnishing.
The plane's fixed frog sets the blade at 20°, the optimum angle for fine scraping.
