These are detailing tools used on between-centres work where the grain is running parrallel to the bed.
Spindle gouges are used to create coves, beads and other profiles on spindles, goblets, vases, bed posts, newels and other spindle projects.
The 1/4" and 3/8" gouges are fitted with 10" handles and measure 16 1/2" overall, while the 1/2" and 3/4" measure 18 1/4" overall and feature 12" handles.
