The profile of the Robert Sorby Diamond section parting tool reduces the risk of it binding in the cut.
It also reduces the amount of heat build up caused by friction and so minimises the risk of unsightly burn marks on the bottom of the parted off project.

The blade area is 3/16" (5mm)
Overall length of the handled version is 17", of which 10" is the handle.
