The blades of these Paring chisels are made from highly alloyed Cr-Mn steel and heat treated up to 59 HRc.
The ergonomic handle is made from hornbeam wood and is fitted with a brass ferrule.
Paring chisels are used primarily for carefully shaving off thin amounts of wood when fitting joints.
The long length allows the handle to be kept from contact with the workpiece while giving maximum control.
These tools should always be pushed by hand, they are not intended for use with a mallet.
