Made to a higher specification than other planes.
The body and frog are cast as one from ductile cast iron providing a more stable platform and reducing chatter. The single casting allows the body to be thicker, adding weight which further reduces chatter.
The sole is precision machined to .003" improving accuracy.
The 40mm wide blade is of A2 steel and is thicker than usual at 3mm improving stability, and being heavier reduces chatter still further.
All adjusters are solid brass for smoothness and accuracy in operation.
