Delicately balanced tools tha are the planes of the spindle turners toolkit.
Originally designed at Robert Sorby, the profile allows the tool to glide effortlessley along the tool rest without the fear of the edges dragging on the rest.
They will smooth cylinders, clean splindle end grain, cut shallow curves, beads, pummels and v-grooves. Ideal for stair balustrading and chair legs.
The 1/2" and 3/4" chisels measure 16 1/4" in length and are fitted with 10" handles.
The 1" and 1 1/4" measure 18 1/4" total length and feature 12" handles.
These tools are indespensible if a fine finish is required from a tool.
