The Clifton 770 fulfils the need for a straightforward bull nose plane enabling the user to plane close to an abutting section of wood and avoiding tear-out.
It is a light and handy plane often used for the cutting of rebate stop shoulders.
Machined from quality grey casting, precision ground on the sole and sides.
The cutting iron fits smoothly onto the machined pad in the body and a screw adjuster allows for fine alterations to the set of the blade.
Cutter : High quality oil hardened steel 59-61 Rockwell 'C', cutting edge ground to 25° primary and 30° secondary.
